"We are deeply appreciative of Kevin and the contributions he has made to Little Angels. His commitment to fostering a culturally inclusive environment has made a significant impact on our community. We invited Kevin to share his extensive knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives with our team, which has been invaluable. His insights deepen our understanding and guide us in integrating their values and practices into our programs.

Kevin's involvement has gone beyond educational support, he has offered crucial resources and guidance for R U OK Day initiatives, which aim to promote mental health awareness and connectedness among our staff, children, and families. Through his efforts, we have seen a marked increase in engagement and understanding of this important cause.

Additionally, we want to highlight Kevin's dedication as a parent volunteer for his daughters. His willingness to actively participate in our centres activities and events shows his commitment both to his daughter and the broader community. This involvement enriches our programs and provides a positive role model for other parents, emphasising the importance of collaboration and participation within our centre.

Overall, we are truly thankful for the time, effort, expertise, and resources that Kevin brings to our centre. We look forward to Kevin’s continued partnership as we strive to create a nurturing and respectful environment for all."

“I have worked with Kevin Heath on a variety of projects since 2018 when he became an Ambassador for suicide prevention charity R U OK?

Kevin was a fellow crew member during travels around the country into schools, communities, and workplaces, and provided welcomed insights and ideas during recruitment processes for identified roles and strategic campaign planning.

Kevin’s personal and professional strengths include hard work and a passion for helping young people, particularly Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people, thrive.”

"It is a pleasure to provide a testimonial for an emerging and already remarkable leader, Kevin Heath. As a proud Butchulla Man, we rely on Kevin for guidance and cultural assistance to enhance our understanding in support of our vision to help close the eye health gap for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Kevin’s dedication has been invaluable in our journey. Whether leading smoking ceremonies or being an engaging and entertaining MC at events, Kevin is nothing short of inspiring. With his eloquence and deep cultural connection, Kevin elevates our audiences, creating a sense of community and urgency that has greatly enhanced our fundraising efforts.

Additionally, Kevin has been instrumental in providing cultural awareness training for our Foundation and community. His insights and guidance have deepened our understanding and strengthened our ability to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples with respect and sensitivity.

Kevin’s respect for his elders and honouring tradition while also helping the younger generation is truly inspiring. We will be forever grateful for his introduction of a talented young Aboriginal artist, Billy Reynolds, who’s art provides a meaningful and culturally rich dimension to our new Gadigal Eye Clinic; a pioneering Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander eye clinic within the South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD). The artwork not only beautifies the space but also celebrates and honours the rich cultural heritage of the communities we support.

We are honoured and proud to be working in partnership with Kevin Heath to ultimately improve the health and wellbeing of his people, and our community."

- Linda Fagan, Chief Executive
